What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural therapy approved by American Medical Association (approved in 1958) and American Psychological Association (approved in 1961) that utilizes guided visualization to help you get rid of negative behaviors and traits and instill positive changes. Hypnosis therapy is based on many years of clinical research by famous Psychologists such as Dr. Sigmund Freud and Dr. Carl Jung, and more recently, by Dr. Milton Erikson and Dr. John Kappas.

Can I be hypnotized?
Yes. Every person naturally enters a state of hypnosis at least twice a day: just before falling asleep at night, and upon waking up every morning. Most people easily enter ‘Environmental Hypnosis’ while at the movies, watching TV, driving on the highways, or while reading a book.

Is virtual hypnosis effective?
Virtual hypnosis is as effective as in-person, if not even more. I slightly modify techniques for virtual sessions to get you through a hypnotic process. And comfort of your own home or provides an additional sense of relaxation and security. You also save driving time. It’s a win-win!

How is hypnosis different from guided meditation?
Both hypnosis and meditation induce deeply relaxing states of mind. However, hypnosis is more focused on specific client goals while meditation focuses mostly on clearing the mind and complete relaxation.

How is group hypnosis different than individual sessions?
I utilize a lot of the same techniques for both types of sessions. With individual sessions, I am able to do more customization based on specific client needs. However, group sessions are also very effective. Even though positive suggestions tend to be more generic, each individual will still benefit from incorporating changes that are appropriate for their goals.
